SecurTech Anchors

The vast majority of thefts are crimes of opportunity. Expensive equipment that is left alone and unsecured is tempting and may instigate a crime. SecurTech Adhesive

Some computer lock devices attach using peel-and-stick adhesive pads. These may be visual deterrents but they are not at all physically strong. They can easily be slowly pried up by the corner without causing any harm to the equipment. When heated or attached to warm equipment, they give way even easier.

Other computer lock devices use a built-in security port in the side or back of a computer. While these may be convenient and provide visual deterrence, they are not nearly as physically secure as a SecurTech anchor.

SecurTech Close Bond Adhesive is a specially formulated cyanoacrylate which provides a remarkable bond. Skeptics become customers when they see what happens when trying to remove a SecurTech anchor from a piece of equipment by force. In most cases the equipment is completely destroyed. Prying a Spot^® Anchor (model AL) from a plastic PC case using a crowbar typically tears the PC case apart leaving the PC worthless, but the anchor still firmly attached to the plastic.

SecurTech Cables

SecurTech security cables are made from industrial steel and are coated with a smooth non-scratch plastic surface. Cable strengths and gauges vary for light-duty, standard-duty and heavy-duty cable lock systems. The standard double-looped DL model cables have loops at each end that are formed by compressing copper sleeves under high pressure. Every cable is pressure-tested for quality and strength. Coatings are available in clear, gray and black. Custom cable sizes and lengths are also available by special order.
